Below are items that will get you and your puppy off on the right paws!
Collar and Harness:
The harness can be used for discouraging pulling when attached to the front or for exercise when attached to the back. A leash can be attached to both the front and back of the harness or just the front or the back. Test to see which works best for you and your dog!
Stop the pulling! Attaching your leash to the martingale loop on the back will allow your dog to walk in a straight line without twisting or straining, while also discouraging pulling by gently tightening around the chest. The Freedom Harness features a ring on the front of the chest as an additional control point which allows you “steer” your dog and redirect his or her attention which makes leash training easier. Using a double-ended leash allows you to connect to the front and back of the freedom harness simultaneously, which can give you another level of control.
Oral Chew
C.E.T.® HEXtra® Premium Oral Hygiene Chews for Dogs contain beefhide for a natural abrasive cleansing action that helps keep teeth clean and breath fresh, even on days when brushing isn’t possible. The combination of chlorhexidine with the mechanical action of the chew helps reduce plaque and tartar when used daily.
Snuggle Puppy
Whether they’re new to the family, or perhaps just going through a tough time, the snuggle puppy is designed to provide comfort and helps relieve anxiety in your four-legged friend. Whatever the case, whether crate training, fireworks, or perhaps a thunderstorm, rest assured this dog anxiety solution will be there to help. Dogs are pack animals and are instinctively drawn to their mother and others in their pack. The snuggle puppy recreates that intimacy with physical warmth and a “real-feel” heartbeat. The result is a calmer, more peaceful pet – one that feels less loneliness, fear, and separation anxiety.
Toys:
Kong toys allow you to stuff them with peanut butter, cheese or other tasty treats. You can also toss them in the freezer. Remember to offer your puppy a Kong toy filled with a treat when you place them in their crate. This will teach your pup to love the crate.
Crate:
This Midwest Double Door crate is perfect with the divider because it is economical and practical, and you can access it from the side or the front.
When your puppy is young, you will want to use the divider. Be sure your puppy will have enough room to lie down and turn around. Within a few weeks, your puppy's divider will need to be adjusted; remember to do so. Please note the size we recommend for a Golden Retriever is 42in; for a Cavalier, we suggest 36in.
