All new puppy parents will be required to fill this form out on or before puppy pick up day.
This contract is between Sunrise Goldens, hereinafter referred to as SELLER

The above puppy is being sold on LIMITED AKC registration. BUYER understands that the definition of limited registration as per the AKC is provided below:
(1) Non-breeding Clause. This dog is not represented as a breeding quality. Therefore, it is agreed that:
(A) This dog will not be bred during its lifetime without the written permission of the seller.
(B) If this dog is a female, it will be spayed between its first and sixth birthdays, while if this dog is a male, it will not be neutered before 12 months of age.
(C) This dog will receive a Limited Registration with the AKC, and by the mutual signing of this Non-Breeding Clause at the time of sale, no offspring of this dog will be afforded registry with the AKC, nor will any breeding information be furnished by the AKC.
(D) The Buyer shall incur all expenses for spaying and neutering. (E) If this dog is bred, the attached warranty is null and void.
Limited registration
Chapter 3, Section 4A of the AKC's Rules Applying to Registration and Discipline states the following: "Limited Registration may be requested for a dog when an application for individual registration of the dog is submitted, provided the application, together with a request for such limitation, is filed by the owner(s) of the litter at birth. No offspring of a dog for which Limited Registration has been granted is eligible for registration. Each registration certificate for a such dog shall carry notice of the limitation, and the limitation shall continue, regardless of any change of ownership, unless and until the owner(s) of the litter at birth shall apply to AKC for removal of the limitation." A dog registered with an AKC Limited Registration shall be ineligible to be entered in a breed competition in a licensed or member dog show. It is eligible, however, to be entered in any other licensed or member event. These events include Obedience, Tracking, Field Trials, Hunting Tests, Herding, Lure Coursing, Agility, and Earthdog.
The total purchase price of this puppy is $_____________________. A deposit of $500.00________________was received on________________________and is applied to the purchase price of the puppy.
(2.) The BUYER agrees to provide a life-long commitment, a comfortable environment, prompt medical attention and responsible care to the puppy. This shall include keeping the puppy/dog parasite free and up to date on all immunizations, proper nutrition at regular intervals, and fresh water available at all times. The BUYER promises to provide a safe environment for the puppy/dog, which includes an adequate exercise area or weekly exercise routine.
(3.) Proper care. The buyer agrees to provide excellent and appropriate care of this dog and that the dog will reside in the home of the Buyer. Such consideration includes providing adequate housing and shade, a safe (preferably fenced) exercise area, and proper and sufficient feeding. Buyer will provide appropriate veterinary care throughout his lifetime, including but not limited to annual titers and vaccinations when indicated to ensure preventative care. This animal will not be allowed to run loose in the Buyer’s community or elsewhere, regardless of the laws, nor shall it be kept chained or tied out, nor allowed to ride uncrated in the back of an open pick-up truck, nor shall it be mistreated or abused. Buyer also agrees to the following preventive care:
(A.) Proper, not excessive, nutrition. At least for the first two years of its life, the Buyer will feed this dog a “premium” adult dog food or a well-balanced natural diet. If the Buyer is feeding kibble, the Buyer will switch from a food formulated and sold for “puppies” to one formulated
for “adults” no later than three months of age. In addition, the Buyer will take extreme caution not to overfeed this dog nor allow it to become overweight, especially prior to two years of age.
(B) Proper daily exercise to maintain the dog in good condition but no forced exercise, such as jogging, until the dog is at least 18 months of age; and,
(C) Avoidance of stress injuries, such as not allowing the dog to jump from or over heights taller than itself at the shoulder until at least 18 months of age. Under the terms of this contract, the seller has the right to investigate the care of this dog if circumstances warrant. If the seller feels the dog is not getting proper care and treatment,
The seller has the right to have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian finds the animal to be a victim of ill-treatment, abuse, or neglect,
(4.) The SELLER guarantees this puppy/dog to be of sound health and temperament at the time of sale. A health record of all vaccinations, worming, and veterinarian exam, will be provided by the SELLER. The SELLER requires BUYER to take this dog to a licensed veterinarian of their choice within (3) days after picking up the puppy for a physical examination. Should the puppy be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which the SELLER is clearly to blame, the SELLER must be notified within twenty-four (24) hours of the Veterinary exam. The dog may, upon signed written diagnosis from a said licensed veterinarian, be returned for a refund of the purchase price. The SELLER assumes absolutely no responsibility for fees associated with caring for the puppy/dog.
(5.) If at any point in the puppy/dog's life, the BUYER can no longer retain possession of this puppy/dog, the SELLER is to be notified and given the first option of resuming full ownership of the puppy/dog for the SELLER to locate this puppy/dog a new home. SELLER will not issue a refund or provide another puppy to BUYER unless the puppy's return was a result of any misrepresentation on the part of the SELLER concerning the dog’s health. The dog will be returned back to the seller along with a duly executed American Kennel Club document transferring Buyer’s ownership interest in the dog entirely to the seller. (6.) Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will this dog be sold, leased, traded, or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter, or other similar facilities.
By signing this, both Buyer and Seller/Breeder agree that this Contract represents the entire agreement between them and that no other representations have been made regarding the puppy described above. This contractual agreement is made, executed, and will remain in the jurisdiction of the state of California. We understand the terms set forth by Sunrise Goldens.
